This is the third RF-30 type mill that has sold in the last 3 weeks. The most comparable one, a Craftex B1976, went last week for a little more money ($1,050 hammer price + BP + tax). Included power feed but did not have a DRO. Also appeared to have been used in home-based business so I was more concerned about wear.

Have you looked at what The House of Tools has to offer. they have a medium priced mill, head travels on rack and pinion.angles left and right. most important, the distance from spindle to collume is 15 1/2 in. compare that to the craftex mill (7 1/2in). prices are right too,$2500-3900.00cdn.

Ok I have an old CraftEx 2071 Lathe-mill combination unit. The gibs have all been adjusted and I lock them whenever I am doing something that allows it. The only metal I have access to is old grade 8 bolts and such in 1.25" diameter range, and some used shafts that can be either hot or cold rolled.
